Instructor:
Christine Walker, originally from Montreal is a professional dancer, teacher, choreographer, actor & model with over 20 years of dance experience. She began her training in ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, lyrical and contemporary at Sheila Parkins School of Dance, Ethel Bruneau’s Tap School & Ballet Divertimento. Walker then moved to Toronto and graduated from Ryerson University with a BFA in Dance (2013).
She worked as a professional dancer with various entertainment companies such as Creativiva, Bash Fx, Kulkat Entertainment and most recently Stratus Events (2019). She won awards with dance partner in Latin Ballroom with the Canada Dance Council (2016), performed for the Opening Ceremonies for the Pan AM Games with Cirque du Soleil in Toronto (2015) and also has been featured in Seed9’s magazine “Poor But Sexy.”
With a passion for dance education, Mrs. Walker has been teaching since 2010 in many dance studios, public and private schools, community centres, daycares, dance camps and a special needs school teaching well over 1000 students. Her mission is to provide high-quality dance classes to all ages and abilities! Finally, Mrs. Walker began her own community dance studio in 2018 called St. Clair Dance Collective. They provide affordable, non-competitive and engaging classes for all ages which has become a huge success! Most proudly, Mrs. Walker has won “Best Dance Instructor” with her new studio for the Reader’s Choice Awards 2019 with the Toronto Star.

C500 TINY BALLERINAS: Age 4 - 6 Years (JK/SK)
These fun classes will share the world of dance with your child in all its possibility. We'll explore musicality, space, balance and creativity in a fun and playful atmosphere. With enthusiasm and joy, your preschooler will be introduced to the wonderful world of ballet. Proper attire would be ballet tights and bodysuit with ballet or jazz slippers, and hair pulled back. Register before Sept. 5 to receive a free tutu (limited quantities available).
C501 PRIMARY HIP HOP DANCE: Age 4 - 7 Years
C502 KIDS HIP HOP DANCE: Age 7 - 10 Years
Classes begin with a warm-up, followed by hip-hop style dance routines. Students do not need previous training - they can jump right in and learn the most current dance moves. In this class, you will see your child improve in a fun and playful environment. Proper atire is black clothing that is easy to move
